Comics for Comfort

A website for a nonprofit that sends donated comics to children in hospital.

Comics for Comfort collects donated comics, reads every issue to check it is right for the age group it is going to, and delivers them to hospitals, libraries and troops overseas. They needed a site that did not look like a charity template.

So it is built like the thing it moves: newsprint halftone, a cover strip across the top, the running count of issues delivered set like a cover price.
